美国科学院院士 陈雪梅教授1988年获北京大学学士学位,1995年获康奈尔大学理学博士学位。1995-1998年在加州理工学院进行博士后研究,1999-2005年任 Rutgers大学助理 教授,2005-2010分别任加州大学河滨分校副教授、教授、Furuta首席教授等。陈教授在small RNA和花器官发育领域有卓越的贡献,已发表高水平论文90多篇,其中nature 1篇,science 3篇,Genes & Dev.Dev. Cell  2篇,PC 4篇,PNAS 5 篇,Development 3篇,Current Biology 3篇等等。陈雪梅实验室在microRNA 研究领域取得了突破性进展。2005年,首次发现植物microRNAs3’末端核糖基上带有2-O -甲基化修饰,开创性地为动物领域开展类似研究工作起了重要的指导作用,随后人们才发现动物的两种小RNA也有此种修饰。2006年陈教授获得美国植物学会Charles Albert Shull奖,2011年作为全美15个杰出科学家之一获Howard Hughes Medical Institute Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Investigators.特别是她将花发育相关的基因以中文的hua 1/hua 2命名,受到广大科研工作者的赞誉和效仿。陈雪梅教授2013年当选为美国科学院院士。2014年入选中组部千人计划,受聘为深圳大学生命科学学院特聘教授(兼职)。
