Yang Xuewei is an assistant professor at the College of Life Sciences And Oceanography of Shenzhen University, focusing on the research of the resource utilization of marine microalgae and microorganisms, including the research and application of biologically active substances (DHA, astaxanthin), bioenergy (bioethanol, biodiesel, biogas fuel, biomicro fuel cells). Dr. Yang received her PhD at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China) Washington State University(jointly cultivate Ph.D.). Then continued her research in Peking University before moving to North Carolina State University. Dr. Yang became a member of the faculty of the College of Life Sciences And Oceanography of Shenzhen University since September 2015. As the project leader, she has presided over Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation funded general program, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation funded project, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission Basic Research Project, etc.; Participated in Major national projects such as the National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program) as main participant, the National Marine Public Welfare Industry Plan, and gave out several oral reports in important academic conferences at home and abroad. She has authored 10 SCI papers as the first and primary author and more than 20 others SCI papers (>100 citations). She also serves as an invited reviewer for the JCR district magazine Bioresource Technology, SCI academic journals Fuel Processing Technology and Bioresources.
