Dr. Binbin Zheng is an Assistant Professor at the School of Life and Oceanography, Shenzhen University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Life Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University in 2013 and a Master’s degree from the same institution in 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Science from the School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, in 2020. From 2020 to 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University and officially joined the School of Life and Oceanography at Shenzhen University in 2024.

Dr. Zheng’s research focuses on interdisciplinary studies in synthetic biology and precision medicine, particularly the design of gene regulatory devices and the development of targeted delivery systems. His work explores novel therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. Over the past five years, he has led several research projects, including the Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Program, and the Shenzhen Outstanding Scientific and Technological Innovation Talent Program. His research findings have been published as first-author papers in international journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, Science Bulletin, and Journal of Controlled Release.
