2024年9月8日下午,深圳大学海洋科学系74名师生前往华大国家基因库参观学习。

On the afternoon of September 8, 2024, 74 teachers and students from the Department of Marine Science of Shenzhen University visited BGI.

基因是万物生存发展之源,生物体的生、长、衰、病、老、死等一切生命现象都与基因息息相关。同时,基因资源也是国家的重要战略资源,合理的保存、保护和利用基因资源将成为未来维护国家安全、打造核心竞争力的坚实基础和有效保障。

Genes are the source of the survival and development of all things, and all life phenomena such as the birth, growth, decay, illness, old age and death of organisms are closely related to genes. At the same time, genetic resources are also important strategic resources of the country, and reasonable preservation, protection and utilization of genetic resources will become a solid foundation and effective guarantee for safeguarding national security and building core competitiveness in the future.

深圳国家基因库(China National GeneBank,CNGB)由国家发展和改革委员会、财政部、工业和信息化部、国家卫生健康委员会(原卫生部)四部委批复建设。深圳国家基因库是服务于国家战略的重大科技基础设施之一,对生物遗传资源进行存储、读取和开放共享,并以此为基础搭建起支撑生命科学研究与生物产业创新发展的公益性、开放性、引领性、战略性科技平台,是世界领先的综合性生物遗传资源基因库。

Shenzhen National GeneBank (CNGB) was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Health Commission (formerly the Ministry of Health). Shenzhen National Gene Bank is one of the major science and technology infrastructure serving the national strategy. 在国家基因库相关人员的解说下,海洋科学系的师生们观看了关于华大基因的历史追溯、机构理念、标志性成果、发展方向等的视频。

Under the explanation of the relevant personnel of the National gene Bank, the teachers and students of the Department of Marine Science watched videos about BGI's history, institutional philosophy, landmark achievements, and development direction.

随后,在解说员陪同下,大家参观并了解了基因库展厅内的特色农产品、华大基因测序仪、冷冻库和专业设备机房等。
